Last summer, my hus­band bit into his first home-grown straw­berry and said, “This is the best straw­berry I’ve ever had.”.   I couldn’t tell you if it was the fresh­ness, the lack of chem­i­cals or the fact that I grew it, that made it so good to him, but it was enough to get me hooked on organic gar­dening for life.  In case you haven’t guessed already, I’m no Master Gardener.  I am how­ever, an avid learner and fear­less exper­i­menter.  I hope you will join me on my journey toward food self-reliance.  Together we can explore the pos­si­bil­i­ties and share insights about organic gar­dening, food preser­va­tion and animal husbandry.
